If you followed the Oracle VM VirtualBox sub-wiki for installing ArcaOS in this environment and find that upon the initial boot into the installer the process stops with a message to insert the ArcaOS installation media, chances are that the virtual disk controller (in the VirtualBox guest configuration) is set for SATA or AHCI, but the ISO is booting with defaults for VirtualBox, looking for an IDE controller.
Please review the wiki page again, specifically, the portion which discusses ArcaOS Installation. Once selecting SATA (or AHCI, in later VirtualBox versions) and attaching the virtual DVD to this controller, it is necessary to use the preboot menu to also select OS2AHCI as the driver for the primary controller.
